Welcome to the Information Page of the
COVENANT CHRISTIAN SERVICE WEEK
The Service Projects Committee has been busy working out the details for this year's Service Week, and we have some exciting things planned for Covenant Students for the week of April 27-May 1
FRESHMEN: Will be experiencing 4 differing locations throughout the week, helping out at Camp Manitoqua, Elim, local cleanup, as well as Christian Haven in Wheatfield.
SOPHOMORES: Will once again head to Camp Tall Turf to help prepare the camp for the summer season, and have a chance to bond as a class while learning important lessons about service.
JUNIORS: A majority of the class will be serving again this year in Inez, Kentucky, to get a first-hand look at one of the poorest counties in that state. Together they will help to improve the condition of various homes, painting, rebuilding, renovating, while interacting with people who live very different life-styles. Another group of students will be getting involved in inner-city ministry in the Chicagoland area through D.O.O.R. Ministries.
SENIORS: Due to the increasing violence taking place in Juarez, Mexico, that service opportunity was seriously reevaluated. The LORD has now opened the door to a new opportunity in Rehoboth, New Mexico. There the students will be involved in service projects helping to beautify the campus of Rehoboth Christian school and making some buildings usable once again. There will be ample opportunities to experience and interact with the unique flavours of this native American, New Mexican culture!
